Welcome to Greening Sacred Spaces
serving the faith-based environment community
Science now confirms what world religions have
long professed – all of life is interconnected. Whether you
understand this as biology and chemistry or as the creative energy
of a loving god, our human connection to the earth, and all life
that is supported by it, is intimate.
Greening Sacred Spaces is a project that celebrates
the interconnectedness of all human life with all other life in
creation. It challenges individuals and faith communities to examine
their decision-making process. For example, consider the Green
Rule: do unto the Earth, as you would have it do unto you. Faith
and the Common Good, our partner organization, has researched and
designed the 'Green Rule' poster, and you can find out more, including
how to order it and its accompanying study guide by
visiting their
website: www.faith-commongood.net.
*NEW* The Multifaith Action Society
is distributing a 2005 Survey of Faith Communities to religious
communities
throughout
Vancouver.
It is available
for download from this site (see the sidebar on the left hand side
of your screen). Simply download it, answer the questions and send
it back to us via email.
